The Balcones del Atlantico

The Balcones del Atlantico, a RockResorts luxury resort, opened in September of 2010 on the Dominican Republic’s Samana Peninsula. It’s the first luxury resort in the area. This villa-suite resort is situated on the shining sands of almost a mile of almost undiscovered beaches, named Playa Las Terrenas after the small nearby fishing village of the same name. You can, as the resort’s website says “walk all day and your feet will never leave the sand.” An up-scale restaurant, name “Porto,” has just opened at the resort and RockResort is offering a “StayFree, EatFree” package in celebration.

Featuring two pools with one swim-up bar, a beach bar, the new restaurant, watersports, tennis, horseback riding, and more, vacationers are never more than a few steps from the beach.  Well-known Interior designer, Patricia Reid, is responsible for the chic tropical/ nautical decoration of the Balcones del Atlantico’s 86 two and three bedroom villa suites. The suites range in size from 1,900 to 4000 square feet.  Reid’s philosophy is “Simple Luxury.” Her emphasis is on the bright colors of the tropics and natural lighting. Each suite is enhanced with local art, polished coral and granite tiles, and Balinese stone basins and teak counter tops in the bathrooms. Outdoor patios are furnished with wooden tables that seat between two and eight. Other amenities include flat-screen TVs, wireless Internet access, and state of the art kitchens featuring Viking appliances and cooking equipment by Cuisinart.

The restaurant, Porto, has the largest and most varied wine list in The Dominican Republic. The food, prepared by acclaimed Peruvian Chef Bruco Tosco offer a unique mix of Dominican and Peruvian flavors. Specialties include a daily catch that will vary with the seasons. Locally caught shrimp in three different and unique flavors is offered by the pound.

A highlight of Balcones del Atlantico is its commitment to the local environment and community with its strategy for sustainable tourism and development. Guests and staff may participate in environmental and community projects through the hotel’s partnerships with Reef Check- Dominican Republic and Pack for a Purpose.

Luxury Travel: Riviera Maya, Mexico

What a fabulous place to visit – the Riviera Maya, Mexico! This beautiful, Mexican paradise offers something for everyone and especially for anyone looking for a luxurious, fantasy, beach vacation. Besides the obvious draw of the sun-warmed, white, silky beaches, there’s plenty to do here on the Riviera Maya.

  • Play golf while listening to the songs of the tropical birds on one of the many golf courses. Don’t step on an iquanas! The golf courses have been carved out of the jungle, are surrounded by lagoons, and overlook the shimmering turquoise waters of the Caribbean.
  • Swim with the dolphins in one of several locations that offer an exciting and safe experience.
  • Dive the Great Maya Reef – the largest coral reef in the northern hemisphere.  If you love diving you’ll want to see the many subterranean rivers and the “cenotes” formed by water filtering through limestone in the shimmering, crystal blue waters of the Caribbean. There are many locations to rent equipment and hire guides and instructors
  • Visit Tulum – the only archaeological site located by the sea. One of the loveliest places on the Riviera Maya, Tulum combines the majesty and mystery of the ancient Mayan civilization with the intense beauty of the Caribbean. There are over 60 preserved structures within three massive walls at Tulum.

Where to stay: Experience true luxury at one of these resorts.

  • The Iberostar Grand Paraiso is an adults only, all inclusive, five-star hotel in Playa Paraiso. • Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita offers luxurious oceanfront suites with terraces with direct beach access, Catamaran sunset sails, daily shopping excursions by boat, a Hydrothalasso pool, aqua gym, spa treatments, well consultations, anti-aging medical diagnostic consultations, and traditional Temazcal steam room ceremonies. Why Antonio Banderas is a Star for Iberostar

Antonio Banderas; spokesperson for Iberostar Grand Hotels.

According to our sources at this luxury travel agency Antonio Banderas has been visiting  Iberostar Hotel Resorts frequently since agreeing to do this and has been noted as bringing along his entire family on many occasions.

Antonio’s family have been his number one priority since he met Melanie on the Too Much set and married her in May 1996. Their daughter Stella, and Melanie’s children from previous relationships are at the heart of his existence and he treats every family member as extra special too.

He is the kind of person who would be personally uncomfortable with being singled out for special attention just because he work on movie sets.  Iberostar chose him as their spokeperson for his down to earth demeanour and his belief that we are all equally important, and everybody deserves to be treated the same as the rich and famous are.

That is why I was particularly pleased when Iberostar adopted his suggested slogan that on vacation everybody is a star.

What makes Iberostar likeable for stars like Antonio  Banderas?  Iberostar Grand luxury resorts Paraiso, Bavarro and Rose Hall are all inclusive vacations with creature comforts and staff that make guests feel like they are right at home. Not to mention fine foods and healthy outdoor attractions.  Chief Iberostar marketing officer was on point when he said that his firm and Antonio Banderas share professionalism, commitment to quality and passion for what they do. LuxeTravelDeals.com believe that everybody should Live Well, Travel More.  Contact us at concierge@luxetraveldeals.com.

Call them when you are ready for Iberostar to treat you like the Star you are.
